Teriyaki Meatball Lettuce Wraps

1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
2 carrots, shredded
2 cups bean sprouts
2 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
1 cup hoisin sauce
6-8 medium sized lettuce leaves, washed and dried (we like green leaf or butter lettuce)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped


  1. In large nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and sauté until brown and heated through, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl.

  2. To serve, place 2-3 meatballs in the center of a lettuce leaf. Top with some of the carrots, bean sprouts and green onion. Drizzle with hoisin sauce and sprinkle on a bit of cilantro. Roll or wrap the lettuce around the meatballs and eat out-of-hand as you would a taco.
