Ingredients
2 Sliced Aidells Chicken and Apple Sausage
12oz Penne Pasta
½ cup Sliced Red Onion
¾ cup Sliced Granny Smith Apples
½ cup Whole Milk
2½ tbsp Butter
2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp Salt
Directions
1. Cook penne pasta in boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Strain and set aside.
2. In a large sauté pan add sliced sausage and 1 tbsp of butter and cook until sausage starts to brown, about 3 minutes.
3. Next add the apples and sliced onions to the pan and cook until they start to soften, about 3-5 minutes.
4. Add the pasta, salt, and pepper to the pan and toss to combine.
5. Reduce heat to low and add milk and the rest of the butter and let reduce slightly, about 2 minutes.
6. Plate and serve.
