Apple Brandy Chicken Apple Mini Sausage


  • 12 Aidells chicken apple mini sausage
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 ounces yellow onion (sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/3 cup Apple Brandy, such as Apple Jack or Calvados
  • 2 green onion
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream or heavy cream

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a large heavy skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken apple sausage. Cook for about 5 minutes, until browned. Add onions and cook for about 5 minutes longer. Add apple brandy and flambé until alcohol burns off, (be very careful with this step, do not use more than the amount of brandy indicated), cook for another minute, until onions are tender. Add cream and green onions; simmer until thickened. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
