Fire it up: Barbeque, our favorite way to entertain
Every year as the temperature starts to creep up and the last of the May flowers are in bloom, we get the fever for putting on our “Not Just Another Weenie” Aidells t-shirts, grabbing that wire bristle grill brush and getting out there on the deck or patio to scrub off the winter grime of the barbeque and fire ‘er up. We love to see our favorite foods sizzling away over glowing coals. And let’s face it, there is something mighty profound and exciting about how the dog and cat and even the kids start showing up, sniffing the air, grinning, (yes, cats and dogs too), and generally hanging out waiting for the rewards. Worth all the fuss, cleaning and scorched arm hair? Heck Yeah! Grilling is the primal way to give foods that deeply satisfying flavor without a long list of spices or seasonings.
Seared Aidells Sausages over grilled vegetables are both simple and delicious. No Barbeque? That’s okay, an indoor grill pan or (our favorite) George Foreman Grill will do the trick too! Aidells Sausages make the perfect addition to your favorite barbeque meals. They put a healthier spin on your favorite recipes because they are lower in fat than traditional pork sausages and they come in such a wide variety of flavors, you can conjure up dishes that will fit any menu scheme you can come up with. If you are planning a simple hot dog and burger kind of grilling feast, Aidells dinner links make the perfect addition to all of your barbeque favorites. Need more inspiration? Essential Grilling Tools and Tips
Essential Grilling Tools: All that is really required for a successful barbeque toolkit are a strong pair of tongs, a sturdy spatula, some heavy-duty potholders or mitts and a strong wire scraper. Some barbeque chefs don’t feel properly prepared without a long handled two pronged fork but it is optional. Don’t forget salt and pepper and other favorite seasonings, a high temperature grill brush for basting sauces and serving platters and utensils to use when your creations are ready for the table.
